Pachacamac
Just 40 miles southeast of Lima, lies the archaeological site of Pachacamac. Misterpiggy saw many ancient ruins of temples and pyramids there. These ruins date back to pre-Inca times It sits in a desert area bordered by shantytowns which have been sprung up in the past years. Due to the encroachment of more and more people, armed guards have to watch over the site, to prevent looting and damage. Interesting how a family of llamas were right at home on the site's museum grounds.
