Huaca Pucllana in Lima

restaurant on the huaca pucllana grounds

fresh fish from the amazon (forgot the name)

 cerviche (find the piggy)

appetizer plate (beef hearts, broiled scallops, breaded shrimp, and crab claw)

Had a chance to visit Huana Pucllana (pronounced: Wana Pookyana) but unfortunately the archeological ruins were closed every Tuesday.  Nonetheless, Misterpiggy was able to take a few pictures and then enjoy a relaxing lunch at the restaurant on the grounds. He started with an appetizer platter followed by a delicious fresh fish from the Amazon. Also he tried the local speciality, cerviche (raw fish marinated in salt and lemon juice).

The head waiter's name was Brian, and he was so kind to explain the different dishes.  He even brought out the different red and yellow peppers, and cheeses that were used as ingredients and explained how they were used in the preparation of the dishes.  Food and service were both impeccable.  If in Lima, you must visit here.
